Miami Has Two Hermès Boutiques
You cannot count on walking into a Miami Hermès boutique and buying a Birkin off the shelf. What Miami does have is two Hermès boutiques, a run of other luxury houses close by, and resellers who sell pre-owned bags without a boutique relationship. This guide covers all three, and how buying a Birkin from Hermès actually works.
Hermès lists two Miami-area stores on its own store locator. Neither opens on Sunday.
Hermès Miami, Design District
Hermès Miami (163 NE 39th St) is the Design District boutique, open Monday to Saturday 11am to 7pm (305-868-0118). It carries leather goods, silk, ready-to-wear and home, and it sits across the street from Dior. If you are spending the day in the district, our Design District luxury walk has the route, the parking and where to have lunch, and the Design District page maps every boutique.
Hermès Aventura
Hermès Aventura (Suite 55, Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd) keeps the same hours as the Design District store, Monday to Saturday 11am to 7pm, even though the mall around it stays open later (786-791-2240). Aventura Mall is fully enclosed with free garage parking, which makes it the easier visit in summer. See our Aventura Mall page for the rest of the luxury wing.
Plan around 7pm and Sunday
Both Hermès boutiques close at 7pm and stay closed on Sunday, earlier than the Design District's other boutiques, which mostly run to 8pm, and well before Aventura Mall closes at 9:30pm. Make Hermès your first stop, on a weekday or Saturday, and shop the rest of the day around it.
Not Bal Harbour
Visitors often expect an Hermès at Bal Harbour Shops. There isn't one: the center's current directory does not list Hermès. For Hermès in Miami, it is the Design District or Aventura.
How a Birkin Actually Gets Offered
Hermès does not publish how it decides who is offered a Birkin or a Kelly. The best public account of the system comes from a lawsuit. In March 2024, two California shoppers sued Hermès (a third plaintiff joined later), alleging that the company ties access to the Birkin to a client's history of buying other Hermès products, and that sales associates favor clients who buy shoes, scarves, belts, jewelry and home goods.
A federal judge in San Francisco dismissed the case with prejudice on September 17, 2025, finding the plaintiffs had not plausibly alleged that Hermès had market power in a properly defined market. Reuters quoted Judge James Donato as writing that it "may be" that Hermès reserves Birkins for its highest-paying customers, but that this "in itself is not an antitrust violation." The plaintiffs appealed to the Ninth Circuit. According to PYMNTS, in its May 20, 2026 brief Hermès called its allocation a "legitimate brand management strategy" and denied that it requires any minimum spending.
What that means for a Miami buyer
The plaintiffs describe a system in which sales associates decide who is offered a Birkin. Hermès denies any spending requirement but has not published how bags are allocated. Our advice, if you want to try for one at the boutique: choose one store, go back regularly, buy what you would buy anyway, and let one associate get to know what you are looking for. Be clear about the size, leather and color you want. Nobody can promise you a bag, so be wary of anyone who offers to sell you a place in line.
What a Birkin Costs at Retail
Hermès raised US prices in January 2026, by between 6.3% and 7.9% depending on the bag, according to Sotheby's. After that increase, Sotheby's put the US retail price at $13,500 for a Birkin 25 and $14,900 for a Birkin 30 in Togo leather, and $16,300 for the 35 and $20,300 for the 40. Prices change, so treat these as the January 2026 list, not a quote.
Resale is a different market. A reseller sets its own price, based on demand, size, leather, color and condition, with no purchase history required. Compare the resale price with the boutique list above before you decide which route is worth it to you.
Chanel, Goyard, Dior and Louis Vuitton
If the bag on your list isn't an Hermès, Miami's other luxury houses are concentrated in two places.
Bal Harbour Shops
Chanel Bal Harbour (Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Ave) carries handbags, tweed jackets, fine jewelry, watches and beauty, and is open daily 11am to 9pm (305-868-0550). Goyard (Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Ave) is the only Goyard boutique we found in Miami, with its hand-painted canvas totes, luggage and steamer trunks, also open daily 11am to 9pm (305-894-9235). Bottega Veneta is in the same center for woven leather bags. 9700 Collins Ave is the center's address, but it is mid-expansion and that entrance has been closed since February 2026, so self-park in the 96th Street garage or enter at 9800 Collins Ave. Our Bal Harbour page has the full directory.
Design District
In the Design District, CHANEL (155 NE 41st St) and Louis Vuitton (119 NE 41st St) are a few doors apart on NE 41st Street, and Dior (162 NE 39th St) faces Hermès on NE 39th. Louis Vuitton and Dior also have boutiques in Aventura Mall, and Louis Vuitton has one at The Shops at Merrick Park in Coral Gables.
Buying a Birkin Resale in Miami
Resale is the only route that doesn't depend on a boutique offer. It is also where you need to be most careful, because the guarantee is only as good as the seller behind it.
Rebag
Rebag Brickell City Centre (701 S Miami Ave, Level 3, Suite 314-A) is Rebag's Miami store for pre-owned bags from Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and others. Rebag buys bags three ways, consignment, trade and outright buyout, and gives offers up front. It is open Monday and Wednesday to Saturday 11am to 9pm, Tuesday and Sunday 11am to 7pm. Rebag Sawgrass Mills (Suite 333, The Colonnade Outlets, 12801 W Sunrise Blvd, Sunrise) is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 11am to 8pm, and pairs with our Sawgrass Mills outlet strategy. See the Brickell City Centre page for the rest of that center.
Privé Porter
Privé Porter, an Hermès reseller, shows bags in a Miami showroom by appointment, weekdays 10am to 5pm, with weekends on request; the appointment button on its site opens WhatsApp. It does not publish a street address. Its site says every item is vetted by the owners and offers a money-back guarantee if Hermès after-sales service finds an item inauthentic. It also buys bags.
What to ask any reseller
Before you pay, ask how the bag was authenticated and by whom, what the guarantee covers and for how long, whether the original receipt, box, dust bag and accessories are included, and what the return policy is. Get the answers in writing. If you are selling, ask for a buyout offer and a consignment estimate on the same bag and compare them.
