Insider guide

Shopping Dadeland.

The story

Dadeland opened off Kendall Drive in 1962 as an open-air center and was enclosed and air-conditioned in a late-1960s expansion. It's South Miami-Dade's everyday mall, the one locals have shopped for decades, and Metrorail's Dadeland North station is right next door.

The layout is easy to follow. Saks Fifth Avenue anchors the west end, Macy's sits in the center, and DICK's House of Sport is at the east end. The Main Entrance by Center Court is the hub, and the Fashion Wing next to it is where the luxury stores have opened in recent years.

What to Expect

The Fashion Wing has Gucci, Ferragamo and Golden Goose side by side, a new Dolce & Gabbana near the Main Entrance, and Parfums de Marly, the French fragrance house's first Florida boutique. There's also a Tesla showroom, ALO, and Läderach, which sells chocolate bark by weight. Around Center Court, Mayors has a Rolex boutique inside, and Montblanc and TAG Heuer are close by.

The rest is the mall staples done well: Zara, Aritzia, lululemon, Sephora and Apple, plus Kurt Geiger, which opened in May 2026. For swim, Luli Fama is a Miami label near the Main Entrance, and Everything But Water carries several brands in the Fashion Wing. Kids will want the LEGO Store and the MIAMI HEAT STORE.

Best Time to Visit

Hours are 10am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 7pm on Sunday. A weekday morning is the easiest time to park. The mall is fully enclosed, so it works on a rainy day, and Metrorail's Dadeland North station means you can come without a car.

If You Only Have an Hour

Use the valet at the Main Entrance. Start at Luli Fama near Apple, then walk into the Fashion Wing for Dolce & Gabbana, Parfums de Marly and Läderach Chocolatier Suisse. If there's time, Everything But Water is across from Tesla in the same wing.

Where to Eat

Inside the mall, Earls Kitchen + Bar reopened in October 2026 with a new fall menu. Nearby, Ghee Indian Kitchen is a Bib Gourmand pick with a farm-driven menu, Recoveco has kitchen-view counter seats, and Mano Libera on a South Miami side street is the place for pasta.
